Tai Chi for Arthritis: suggested sample brochure

A brochure is essential to promote a tai chi class. You can do this easily with Microsoft Word. Make it a three fold one page document, you can use the suggested text, but check everything and modify to suit your needs.

To make a 3-fold document in MS word:

Step 1 – go to file/page setup, and then set it so that for paper size, do letter size for USA and other countries A4, and also click landscape. Click ok

Step 2 - go to format,/column and select 3 columns. Then adjust the width to suit you. I usually make it about 7cms

Step 3 - put the text in.

always try printing out, read everything before finalised. It is a good idea to ask as many friends to read them for you as possible.

Bear one most important thing in mind: what benefit can you offer to the reader (potential students).

On the front:

How Does Tai Chi Works?

Health and exercise experts advise that an exercise program for people with arthritis should incorporate exercises that improve muscular strength, flexibility, and stamina or fitness. Tai Chi is proven to improve all of these components, as well as having additional health benefits. Tai Chi improves relaxation, balance, posture, and immunity.
Muscle strength is important for supporting and protecting joints, which will reduce pain.
Flexibility exercises also help to reduce pain and stiffness, enabling you to move easier.
Stamina or fitness is important for overall health and proper function of your heart, lungs, and muscles.

Tai Chi facilitates the flow of Qi through your body. Qi is the life energy that circulates throughout the body, performing many functions to maintain good health. Practicing tai chi helps to strengthen your Qi, therefore improving your health.
